What Our Investments Achieve

The actual impact our efforts have in our community.

Protecting Reproductive Freedom

Candidates we support are vetted for their commitment to reproductive rights—from defending federal abortion access to protecting state-level reproductive freedom.

Building Democratic Power

Our strategic investments help elect Democrats to federal and statewide offices where they can advance Democratic norms and ideals.

Amplifying Women's Political Voice

ITE shows that women's strategic political giving creates real electoral impact—turning our community's values into political victories.

Creating Lasting Relationships

Our intimate fundraising events build ongoing relationships between ITE members and elected officials and grassroots organizations and state parties, as well as among ITE members.

Candidates & Organizations

Who we support

Our investment strategy team identifies and researches candidates and voter engagement organizations that align with ITE’s mission for recommendation to the Steering Committee. Once events are scheduled, each ITE member is invited to select which of those candidates or voter engagement groups she would like to invest in. Our five-pronged investment strategy is to invest in selected:

  1. U.S. Senate candidates who are: vulnerable incumbents; running for open, winnable seats; or in vulnerable GOP held seats;
  2. U.S. House candidates who are: vulnerable incumbents; in contested races, primarily in Illinois and in flippable seats;
  3. State-level candidates -- including governors, state Supreme Court judges, and state attorneys general -- strategically selected to help protect democracy;
  4. Organizations in key states that engage voters and protect democracy;
  5. New media organizations that engage voters and protect democracy.
